2017 #LIGHTtheWORLD Printables - FREE Tea Light Wraps!

Did you know that it's actually TORTURE to preview the #LIGHTtheWORLD Mormon.org media and videos for the Christmas Initiative ahead of time?! First there's the flood of self-inflicted stress to come up with an original idea that's printable friendly - and second - once that idea hits, it's SO HARD not to share it immediately! Lucky for me (and you)... I can now share my fun idea that will help encourage and remind you to light the world and serve each day in December!

Last year, the #LIGHTtheWORLD initiative was a huge success! How awesome that together we created a flood of goodness on the Internet that resulted in a FLASH FLOOD of service in our communities and around the world!

Elder Bednar would be so proud of us!! ♥

So... what will YOU do to #LIGHTtheWORLD again this year? The focus, like 2016, will be to follow the Savior's example and serve others the way he did. We, too, can serve in 25 ways over 25 days - and although it's fun to do something big, we can also make a huge difference by just doing consistent small acts every day in December and beyond!

On Mormon.org there is a calendar of daily scriptures that give examples of how Christ served; each one then promotes a particular "theme" for that day. I've taken those scriptures and put them on Tea Light Wrappers - so as you light the world each day, your family can light candles - and literally light your home with the service you've done! What a fun thing to do with your family... but what a great gift to take to the ladies you Visit Teach and make some extra sets so your hubby can make a December 1st Christmas visit to his Home Teaching families!

I know a lot of ladies that follow my blog are also YW Advisors, RS Presidents, Activity Day Leaders and more... so I also created a single  #LIGHTtheWORLD wrapper. With this one... you can give just a one candle (instead of 25) that the recipient can turn on each day that they participate - or it can just serve as a reminder to look for ways each day to light the world. I also shrunk the Mormon.org Initiative Calendar to half size - so be sure to roll up it up and include it with the gift tag and candle so everyone knows what to do!

This row of lights is a super fun thing to display on your mantle, on a shelf or even a window sill...  and each day as you light the world, just turn on the next tea light to also light your home!

I hope we'll all have glowing mantles this December... Merry Christmas, friends! ♥
